We equip middle and high school students with the tools necessary to succeed in the 21st Century workplace, while enabling employers to build a steady pipeline of talented, local labor. The Happy Messenger Art Bus will bring a wide variety of mobile art experiences to the community. These experiences will be mostly offered in partnership with local art groups, councils, school districts, afterschool programs, health organizations, corporations and more. Artistic expression programs such as this have been found to foster as sense of empowerment, belonging and achievement.

In the fall of 2011, the founders of Triangle Bikeworks partnered with several organizations including, the Carrboro Bike Coalition and the Town of Carrboro Recreation and Parks to hold the first ever Kidical Mass event in North Carolina. Since that first successful event we’ve held it each spring and fall.

The UNC Morehead Planetarium and Science Center informs and inspires the public about the foundations and frontiers of scientific discovery. Through innovative educational experiences, Morehead engages the public and the University community in a forum for interpreting contemporary science.
NCTRC exists to empower children and adults with physical, emotional, mental and social challenges to create active, healthier and more fulfilling lives through equine-assisted activities and therapies (EAAT). The organization is the oldest therapeutic riding center in North Carolina and serves riders in Alamance, Orange, Chatham, Wake, and Durham counties.
North Carolina Outward Bound provides character building wilderness experiences. Students will be challenged to realize their full potential, how to work within a team, and how to rely on oneself. Our North Carolina wilderness courses are held in the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Outer Banks. We provide courses for 14-16 year olds, 16-18 year olds and 18+.
Open Hands is a garden-based educational, empowerment, and community service program for teenagers between the ages of 15-19 at Anathoth Community Garden in Cedar Grove, a ministry-plant of Cedar Grove United Methodist Church committed to cultivating peace by using regenerative agriculture to connect people with their neighbors, the land, and God.
