North Carolina Outward Bound provides character building wilderness experiences. Students will be challenged to realize their full potential, how to work within a team, and how to rely on oneself. Our North Carolina wilderness courses are held in the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Outer Banks. We provide courses for 14-16 year olds, 16-18 year olds and 18+.
The North Carolina Youth Tap Ensemble (NCYTE) presents performances featuring cutting edge contemporary choreography and traditional rhythm tap as it was danced in its prime. Imagine Stomp, Riverdance, vaudeville, Fred Astaire and Bring In Da Noise all on the same bill — that’s NCYTE! The company has performed or collaborated with the Greensboro Symphony, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Mallarme Chamber Players, the North Carolina Jazz Repertory Orchestra and many jazz musicians around the nation and world.
The mission of Saint Thomas More Catholic School and Early Childhood Center (3 yr. old program) is to engage our school/center community in creating quality education within a Catholic environment that fosters the current and future development of the whole child.
Skipsations! Jump Rope Team has been performing, competing and teaching jump rope workshops and camps since 1999. Based in Chapel Hill, the Team consists of 28 boys and girls ranging in age from 6-18 years old with an additional contingent of adult members.
Children in lower income homes have an opportunity to participate in social and educational enrichment activities, with help from the SKJAJA Fund, a 501(c)(3) organization in Chapel Hill. The fund was created in September 2008 by Eric and Charlotte White to not only provide funding for children who might not be able to afford such activities, but also to teach an important lesson about citizenship.
The Arc serves people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. It offers a variety of services to teach important social and communication skills as well as foster social interactions and a sense of community. Services range from group programs to individual services in order to address the needs of every individual at the Arc.
