Youth Forward has two grant opportunities for Chapel Hill-Carrboro youth-serving nonprofits to apply. Please review each grant descriptions, eligibilities, and qualifications to see which best fits your program or organizations. Organizations can only apply for one of the two grants, so it is encouraged that organizations schedule a conversation about their grant to determine which might be best for their organization.
Over the last three years, Youth Forward has granted over $145,000 to local youth-serving organizations. Funding will be awarded to nonprofits that aid underserved populations (Karen/Burmese, Latino/a, and minority males) and out-of-school time/summer programming. Proposals must be submitted for review by October 7th. Nonprofits grant request may not exceed $5,000. Find out how your organization can apply for the Youth Investment Grant.
Youth Forward is piloting a new grantmaking program called Bridging the Gap to equip youth-serving organizations with the financial tools needed to provide more efficient and effective services to underserved populations in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro community. Nonprofits that currently serve or would like to expand programs to Latino/a, Karen/Burmese, and minority male populations are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to organizations serving Latino populations. Proposals must be submitted for review by October 14th. Nonprofits can request between $10,000 and $20,000. A grand total of $50,000 will be issued, so it is advised that organizations schedule a conversation prior to applying. Check out how your organization can apply for this grant opportunity.
